Religious art is a genre that has produced some of the greatest masterpieces in world history. I love the grand and epic scale at which much of this type of art has been executed. On the other hand, religious sentiments are among the most personal and closely held experiences of the human heart, and as such, the artistic interpretation of these can likewise be very close and personal in its design. In this intimate composition, the hands of Jesus Christ are shown up close, immediately following his resurrection from the tomb, an invitation to the viewer to come and receive His gift.
