Working with charcoal pencils is an interesting process, as it gives an artist the opportunity of exploring the many illusions which can be created using only light and shade. This regal little Chihuahua stands out proudly against his background because there’s much less pencil coverage within the dog compared with his surroundings. The color of the paper itself makes the dog come forward.
