The idea in creating this stylized bear was to create a complimentary piece in a series of miniature animal sculptures. He’s been referred to as a teddy bear and also compared to one of those giant chain saw carved bears displayed at fairs, parks, and in front yards. He does indeed bear a similarity, having been sculpted with a series of angular, geometric planes. Maybe I should rename him Miniature Giant Chain Saw Bear.
