Similar to the painting Siberian Lynx, Siberian Tiger is one of my texturally descriptive oil paintings emphasizing the striking physical characteristics of a great cat, largely independent of his external surroundings.  The painting’s focus is on the face of the tiger, his arresting symmetry and penetrating gaze.  The tiger lies restful but alert, confident of his supremacy as apex predator.
