I was captivated by the process of applying gestural brushwork in this mystical fantasy painting. The bright red dress, reminiscent of the Renaissance period, and the faraway look in the maiden’s eyes make this a particularly romantic subject. Set against a lush background of moss and foliage, the lady takes us to another time and place in which dreams, visions, and reality meld into one.
