Remembering the Summer Art Festival

This past weekend I stopped by to visit the East Aurora Art Society’s Summer Art Festival.  I was glad I did!  A number of my friends had garnered top awards and there was some very impressive artwork at the show.  Unlike last year, the weather was perfect – sunshine, and no impending rainstorms to ward off!

People have been asking whether I’d have my artwork at the exhibit this year.  Though my schedule would have made it difficult to enter the show this this summer, the time I set aside to visit was indeed well spent.  In addition to seeing a lot of familiar faces and some nice work, it also got me looking forward to the shows I have coming up in the months ahead.  As mentioned earlier, I’m planning on presenting a number of new works in the near future.  The first scheduled event will be the Beaver Meadow solo exhibition in October.  I hope everyone enjoys that presentation as much as I’ve enjoyed preparing the new works.  More later about that and other exciting events to follow.  Wishing everyone a great summer!
