New Fantasy Art Series Continues

So when you’re hooked, you’re hooked.  That’s how it works I suppose, and when it comes to fantasy art and fun, whimsical paintings, I certainly have intentions of “forward march”, and won’t be falling off the wagon any time soon!  Now that’s not to say there’s no seriousness to any of it, at least seriousness in the artistic sense.  As mentioned earlier, I’ve got some larger scale work in progress along with my painted ink drawings, and all of it comprises serious artistic efforts on my part.  But what is art really if it’s not fun?  Fine art painting and sculpture, while it teaches and inspires, is, after all, part of the entertainment industry, whatever its audience may be.

In addition to the fantasy paintings measuring 6″x8″, such as the one pictured above, I’ve also begun a foray into the vibrant and sparkling world of ACEO’s.  “What in the world is he talking about now?” would be a likely response here.  Well, I admit, I had the same reaction when I first saw the term “ACEO”, which wasn’t very long ago.  ACEO stands for “Art Cards, Editions and Originals” and represents a movement of creating artistic works, in any medium, the only common characteristic being they all measure 2.5″ x 3.5″.  Interesting, huh?  As I understand it, ACEO’s have been around for a few years now, and I’ve begun experimenting artistically with paintings in that format and, frankly, have been delighted with the process!  I consider these to be a part of the fantasy art series in which I’ve been working, just smaller.  I plan on sharing more information about these, as well as some examples, in the near future.  For now, however, it’s “forward march!”  Feel free to keep an eye out on eBay as continued releases from the latest fantasy series appear.  Just click here for a quick link to my page.  Thanks for looking!
