I was having my carpets cleaned one day and realized that boredom would soon set in unless I found a way to entertain myself in the yard. So out came the sketchbook and I busied myself with drawing the trees by the picnic table. With time on my side, I could really focus on the individual shapes and tonalities of the leaves on this maple tree.
