Fine Art Paintings at JRS Morgan
East Aurora, NY is a town known for it’s interest in and support of the arts. There’s a vibrant group of art galleries in the area, and evening “Art Walks” are scheduled a couple times each year. Recently I was asked whether I’d be interested in displaying a collection of paintings at a local office shared with the East Aurora Chamber of Commerce. JRS Morgan Realty is a unique real estate firm located at 652 Main Street in East Aurora, NY. Their office maintains a tradition of featuring works of individual artists in their space for up to six months at a time. This provides an excellent opportunity for viewing a body of artwork by a given artist, up close and personal in a comfortable office setting.
While my last show focused on wildlife and nature paintings, this new exhibit comprises a mix of subject matter ranging from portraiture to landscapes to western paintings, and yes a few wild animals thrown in for good measure! Additionally, the previous exhibit included many acrylic paintings along with traditional oils. This new show primarily highlights a series of oil paintings, though some acrylic work is also included. The artwork is currently on view and it’s expected the exhibit will run approximately six months. Plans are also being made to feature the show as part of East Aurora’s evening “Art Walk” this coming spring, 2013. The layout of the office makes it easy to take one’s time and get a good look at the work.
