Diabetic Neuropathy –  Digital Painting

This painting was created for the cover of Hospital Physician and is an example of medical conceptual art. The journal is filled with professional clinical articles, yet physicians and publishers have enjoyed the artistic flair of the magazine’s special cover illustrations. When beginning a conceptual medical piece, I first research the subject to preserve accuracy. Then I’ll often go into a three-dimensional way of thinking about how to portray the information, sometimes presenting the subject from an unusual perspective, designed to entertain while it informs.
