Current Venue of Nature Art Exhibit

Now that we’re well into the month of October, I thought I’d post a couple photos from outside the exhibit venue for my wildlife and nature paintings at the Audubon Center.  These were taken early during the month-long show when the trees outside were still fairly green.  Those who’ve been to the show recently have been treated to an unusually brilliant display of fall foliage in the area, an area which is already known for it’s beautiful autumn colors.  The Beaver Meadow Audubon Center has done a wonderful job of preserving the local nature trails and densely forested landscape surrounding the rustic style building.  To me, it provides a lovely venue for displaying a body of artwork whose purpose is to highlight the dramatic and subtle visual delights found in the natural world.

This exhibit includes depictions of wildlife both indigenous and exotic, from North America to Madagascar.  In addition to wild animal portraits, there’s a healthy dose of brushy plein airlandscape paintings and other works involving animals and scenery, 30 paintings in all.  It’s been wonderful to receive feedback from those who’ve already been to the show, and there’s plenty of time still to pay a visit.  Please feel free to contact me directly with questions or comments about the paintings on display or my current show schedule.  The Audubon Center is open during daytime hours throughout the week, and closed on Mondays.  The address is 1610 Welch Road, North Java, NY 14113.  The center’s phone number is (585) 457-3228.  Paintings will be on display until October 31.
