Wildlife art is a creative genre holding many opportunities for description and commentary on the natural world and our connection with it.  Sometimes it’s hard not to anthropomorphize just a bit! While the scenario depicted in this painting of two curious young foxes is certainly plausible in its own right, I also found myself thinking about the magical worlds of literature and fable where wild animals take on human characteristics and enjoy adventures typically ascribed to people.  Upon observation, the friendship, playfulness, and other human-like affections and behaviors exhibited by wild animals never cease to amaze.

This painting is a winner in North Light Books’ 2015 “Best of Acrylic” international competition and is featured in the book, Acrylic Works 3: Celebrating Texture, published by F+W Media.

It also appears in the F+W Media book entitled: Art Journey Animals: A Collection of Inspiring Contemporary Masterworks.
