Art Festival News!

I’m really looking forward to an art festival coming up in about two weeks.  Actually I must admit I’d not heard of the event until I received an invitation to exhibit my artwork at the show this year.  Well, I was honored and grateful for that invitation and found out that this will actually be the third annual “You’ve Gotta Have Art Festival” hosted by the Clarence Presbyterian Church in Clarence, New York.

From what I’ve learned in a short time about this show, the festival staff takes recommendations from artisans in their group who’ve scouted about the recent art shows and exhibitions in the area looking for artists whose work they’d like to see included in their exhibit.  That makes this event a true invitational which will hopefully go a long way in assuring an interesting and high quality cross section of artworks in a variety of media.  Admission to the exhibit is free to the public and many of the artworks on display will be for sale.  In addition to the roughly 40 some artists and artisans represented, I understand there’ll also be live music, and food available as well.  This event should be lots of fun!

My portion of the show will include a booth setup with three walls and some shelves, allowing me to display a good quantity of artwork including numerous paintings and also some sculptures.  Please feel free to stop by and say hello!  The festival will take place on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 10 AM till 4 PM at the Clarence Presbyterian Church located at 9675 Main Street, Clarence, New York.  This will be an indoor show, so whatever the western New York weather decides to do that day, the show will go on.  Any questions, feel free to call the church office at 759-8396.
