Lauren Silvers Logo –  Adobe Illustrator

In this fashion logo, I wanted the swishy brushstroke lettering in the initials “LS” to represent a heart, while also retaining legibility. One of the interesting components of graphic design is the concept of hierarchy. Various elements or qualities of a design or illustration can be orchestrated to capture the viewer’s attention with varying degrees of emphasis. With this logo, its two identities (a stylized heart, and a pair of initials) vie closely for the dominant position. I believe this closely balanced double-meaning helps make it a successful design.
