Battle scenes are generally distressing by nature, due to the inherent violence and conflict involved. In comic art, as in super hero movies, the horrors of armed conflict often comes across as somewhat tempered by the fact that the forces of evil are frequently represented as non-human characters. When the antagonists are monsters, it seems we can much more easily bear the violent scenes set forth in the story lines. Humans versus orcs is a scenario that’s not uncommon in establishing this narrative. So why not take it a step further – humans and undead orcs!
