Upcoming Workshop – “Painting from Imagination”
I’m super excited about an upcoming full-day workshop on May 25, 2019 which I’ll be presenting in West Seneca, NY. It’s being hosted by the West Seneca Art Society. The subject matter is a bit unusual for an art workshop, but it’s one which I’m passionate about and have been practicing throughout my life.
The subject matter? “Drawing and Painting from Imagination”
Have you ever wanted to draw or paint a scene, character, or composition that doesn’t exist, or can’t be seen in real life? This class will be a hands-on opportunity to learn specific steps and techniques for creating images out of your head. These skills can be extremely helpful even if your subject matter isn’t blatantly “imaginative” in content. So, whether you paint dragons or draw still life arrangements, this class is designed to help leverage your imagination to improve your image-making ability.

The program is designed to be a fun, experimental learning experience for artists of all styles and skill levels. Focus will be on representational work (realistic or stylized), but abstract artists can benefit too. A wide range of drawing and painting media are welcome, with a few exceptions.
The class fee is $45.00 per person, not including materials. For questions or detailed information about the workshop, please contact me, Dean Vigyikan, via this website’s Contact page.
