Tribal Pilgrim Cover Art –  Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, & Corel Painter

The singer-songwriter “V” had in mind a scene that conveyed the theme of her Tribal Pilgrim CD. To interpret that vision artistically, I wanted to employ a similar style to that which I used on her previous Itinerant Lady album. This time, however, I also envisioned a more opaque kind of paint application beneath the graphic outlines. The previous illustration had a watercolor feel to it, while this one leans more towards the look of oils, even incorporating an impasto effect in the horse and sun. While combining this effect with that of black ink outlines would be very challenging in traditional media, the versatility of computer graphics makes it a breeze in digital media.
