The majestic golden eagle, with a wingspan exceeding 6 feet, is a powerful predator, able to attack and kill animals many times it’s own weight.  It preys primarily on mammals and other birds.  Highly territorial, one is shown here using his superior eyesight (about 8 times sharper than human’s) to scan his realm for prey or possible intruders.
