Throughout my life, I’ve enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, cross country skiing, etc.  I never tire of opportunities to witness raptors in the wild, perched or in flight.  In this painting, the juxtaposition of various textures and criss crossing diagonals adds compositional interest to this portrait of a stealthy bird of prey.
